MY PHILOSOPHY

Champa Cyr teaches yoga and meditation, graduated from Studio Ashtanga yoga Montreal in 2014 and has more than 750 hours of yoga training. Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance; she devoted herself professionally for more than ten years and it is quite naturally that she reoriented herself in yoga, fascinated and interested in this search for balance between muscular strength and flexibility, but especially in the centrality of breathing.

Champa Cyr obtained her first faculty certification in hatha yoga, at Ashtanga yoga Montreal. She then confirmed her skills through specializations in prenatal yoga, postnatal follow-up. She has also specialized in the therapeutic elements of yoga such as post-traumatic stress, lower back health, pelvic floor, digestive problems and stress and anxiety.

In 2017 she also received a diploma in restorative yoga and yin and teaches this type of yoga to regular students, but also with chronic pain patients in hospitals and in pain clinics of geriatric centers.

From her experience in yoga and meditation, she teaches the six perfections of yoga: discipline, devotion, letting go, absorption, self-realization, as well as the impermanence of all things. She is aware of giving her students a space where they feel safe to experience breath synchronization, body awareness and meditation.

Champa Cyr with a look of compassion considers each of her students as unique. She wants to encourage her students to enjoy a daily practice that encourages yoga as a way of life. By supervising her students in a private class, she gives the opportunity to listen and feel her body to regain a sense of belonging and well-being.

By teaching tools such as yoga positions, body alignment and breathing, the student in his private lessons will gradually understand his deep connection with his body and mind and find a naturalness in his practice.

Ease

Yoga serves above all to soothe the body, soul and mind, it is an indispensable tool to help us manage the stresses of life and cope with uncertainties. Yoga is  a way to rediscover the joy of life, the deep vitality, and a union with everything. Through the values of yoga (Yamas and Nyamas), we learn to live a more harmonious lifestyle in connection with our true self and its deep values. We also learn to draw the line between ourselves and others and create a healthier environment and with the idea of making lasting change for the society we live in and build a better future.

guide

Champa Yoga guides through the practice of yoga and meditation that inspires the person to question, meet and understand the basics of yoga in them. To guide to better understand the human in all these facets whether beginners or advanced; each class is carefully designed to meet the student where they are. Champa yoga observes respect and inclusion in all her sessions so that everyone to feel welcomed within their differences.

share

In a session with Champa everyone is welcome to share opinions, personal experiences or insights. The participant is welcomed expressing himself (herself) and will be heard with great attention, Champa inspire us to reveal ourselves in a safe and healthy environment. Each person learns about others by observing and listening deeply to what the other has to share. Through reflection and non-judgment, the student learns to rebuild a positive self-image. The exchange allows us to rediscover the intrinsic compassion that is the foundation of everything. Each class becomes a small community that evolves with the time and regularity of the students.

I have been blessed and so fortunate to have been doing my yoga practice with Champa for the last five years. Back then my life experience was full of aches and pains, and I can’t say with confidence I would have been able to stand up off the floor. Today I can say, getting down on or up from the floor is a very easy move! My flexibility, my shape, and my attitude have all had a complete turn-around.
